ABC Review
The teacher will place objects with letters wrote on them inside of a container. Students will each withdraw the objects from the container. After a moment to reflect on the lesson, each student will make a statement that starts with the letter drawn.
This activity reminds me of cheering.
Participation requires that students are fluent in their understanding of the content and have effective communication of lesson jargon.

For a lesson on Cellular Structures and Function, I will place tiles in a box with letters from the alphabet. All of the letters will be generated from vocabulary we discussed within the last week.
Structure list:
Nucleus
Nucleolus
Membrane
Cell
Cytoplasm
Endoplasmic Reticulum
Golgi Body
Atoms
Ribosomes
Peroxisomes
Mitochondria
Cytoskeleton
Chromosomes
DNA
Vacuole
Centriole
Nuclear Membrane
Lysosome
Flagella
Microtubules
Microfilaments
Chromatin
Centrosome
Function List:
Reproduction
Respiration
Diffusion
Mitosis
Meiosis
Photosynthesis
Synthesis
Evacuation
Interphase
Anaphase
Prophase
Metaphase
Telophase
Cytokinesis
I will note the letters in our vocabulary list and put only those in the box. Students will have 10 minutes with their groups to review the material before we begin the activity. \
We will begin the drawings by row. As letters become scarce, available responses will require more attention. I'll write the vocabulary term as it is used until all are discussed. No student is allowed to repeat a statement that was earlier suggested. Students will be reminded to take note of their classmates' contributions in their scientist notebooks.
This is another useful way to discuss content in class while reviewing.
