4 Corners
The teacher asks students a content question. The responses to the question will be labeled either in the corners of the room or the edges of a large desk. Students will have a moment to reflect on the answer and then they must choose the area in the room or table that corresponds with their answer.
This activity involves reflection, movement and collaboration. Students will independently choose their responses, but as they approach the area where others are they will begin to discuss the validity of each other's choices.
Classmates will try to persuade others that their chosen response is correct.
This appears to be fun.

I will enjoy using this activity for vocabulary review or for an entertaining way to democratically vote on classroom matters such as when to schedule a review, a test or where to plan an out of class field study.
